The PRO method is not in any way “rocket science”, but more like pure logic and a holistic view arranged into a system realizing what works and what don’t. It is also important that the programme is rolled out by professionals that know the oil industry, understand the regime and talk the same language as the personnel that will be under the programme.
The main issue is to put the humans in the middle, motivate them and make sure that they perform their utmost every day on work because they are motivated and willing to do so. This implies that everybody take the full responsibility of own safety and their colleagues safety. This way, every platform and rig is manned by a number of “Safety Officers” equally the POB number. The Safety Officer is then released for motivation and coaching purposes, and to keep the PRO method running.
